As an Outside Sales Representative at Signarama, you will be at the forefront of identifying and capturing signage opportunities with potential clients. Your goal will be to increase the sales volume by presenting our solutions in a knowledgeable and professional manner, ultimately closing sales orders.
You will be a great fit for this role if you are a highly motivated and outgoing individual with a strong background in sales and customer service. Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Engagement: Visit various businesses including offices, restaurants, and industrial parks to introduce Signarama’s services and special promotions.
  • Sales Execution: Build strong relationships with potential customers, understand their needs, and present versatile signage solutions.
  • Strategic Follow-Up: Maintain an organized system for following up on leads, preparing quotes, and closing sales.
  • Financial Transactions: Secure deposits and manage full payment collections upon order completion.
  • Sales Goals: Strive to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Marketing and Training: Participate in regular in-store training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Store Support: Assist with store management duties as needed and ensure a professional work environment.

    • Introduce the brand to businesses and explain the promotional materials and specials.
    • Build rapport with potential customers.
    • Explain versatility of the company.
    • Introduce services provided.
    • Bring back business card and information needed to quote potential jobs.
    • Maintain a consistent and organized follow up system.
    • Follow up on all leads.
    • Accurately fill in sign layout forms and work orders.
    • Assist in operating and managing the store when needed.
    • Remarket areas every three months.
    • Keep a running inventory of all stock and supplies for the marketing program.
    • Complete in store training utilizing the following: Front counter Sales, Sign Product Training video, Key lines and the Owner’s Manual.
    • Maintain an organized; clean and professional store appearance at all times.
  • Front Counter Sales – Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in when not selling outside and telephone customers.
    • Assure customer satisfaction. Send thank you cards with orders.
    • Respond to customer inquiries to determine needs, provide recommendations and quotes and assistcustomers with the order process. Obtain information for future contact
    • Process customer orders. Accurately complete Work Order; obtain customer’s approval and down payment
    • Telemarketing Calls to Direct Mail Listing
    • Telemarketing Calls to Existing Customer Files
    • Telemarketing Calls to New Business Listings
    • Telemarket No-Activity Customers
    • Call Outstanding Quotations
    • Prospecting via phone for new customers. Generate list of prospects through lead groups or publications (Yellow Pages, Chamber of Commerce directory, etc.)
    • Work closely with the Production Area to answer any questions they may have concerning current work orders.
    • Mailings to Club Members
    • Follow Up Of Top 100 customers
    • Run Bi-monthly Specials Campaign
    • Implement Marketing Strategies. Execute in-house marketing, working with Owner/Marketing Representative
    • Enter contact names into database for appropriate follow up
    • Contact customers when the order is ready
    • Obtain referrals; determine contact name and phone number, and provide follow up.
    • Support Owner as needed with reports, close outs, invoices, and daily, weekly and monthly paperwork
    • Cross train in other areas of the store to maintain a fully functioning store at all times.
    • Maintain an organized; clean and professional store appearance at all times.
    • Quality Control
    • Complete in store training utilizing the following: Front counter Sales, Sign Product Training video, Key lines and the Owner’s Manual.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in the use of computers and eager to master various software tools.
  • Solid foundation in sales and marketing principles.
  • Any combinations of education, training or general experience that would provide the required skills and knowledge base sufficient enough for job performance. This includes:
    • Sufficient formal or informal education to assure the ability to use simple math (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers and fractions, as well as converting fractions to decimals).
    • Previous experience as a customer sales associate/service representative.
    • Previous experience in a sign shop or graphics industry.
    • Pass all assessments/inventories administered during the hiring process.
  • Communication including listening, speaking, hearing and writing, consulting, being able to assess need and offer possible solutions for consideration; time management; using the phone book or other lists to generate contact companies
  • Easy-going, adaptable personality, positive outgoing attitude, quality conscious, flexibility to occasionally work overtime, calm, professional and diplomatic, presents self well, neatly dressed, well mannered and polite.
